Registered Dental Hygienist
I have been a hygienist for over 18 years. I have a strong passion for knowledge and personal growth. I am dedicated to keeping up with the most current research and working with the latest technology, offering our patients the best available treatments. I enjoy the relationships that develop between my patients and myself. A lot of my time with each patient is concentrated on dental and oral hygiene education. If a patient knows why it’s important to keep their mouth healthy, and how to do so, they’ll have a great and healthy smile for life.
I have been married to a wonderful husband for over 31 years and we have two amazing daughters: Jessie and Taylor Bea, who keep me extremely busy away from work. I love camping, softball, and football.
Registered Dental Assistant and Treatment Coordinator
My favorite part of my job is educating our patients about the dentistry they need. I like getting to know each of our patients on a personal level, learning about their lives and interests and of course about their goals for their oral health. It’s personally and professionally rewarding to help people accomplish their dental goals and to work with them to find the best solution for their particular situation. I love our team and doctors because of the passion that everyone has for dentistry and helping people.
Continuing to learn is part of my journey. I am attending Sierra College and working towards my degree in biological sciences.
I believe in living a happy and healthy lifestyle. I love being active at the gym, hiking or other outdoor activities. I am also a writer and an artist. Writing gives me a break from daily life and lets me enter a life of imagination and creativity.
Registered Dental Assistant
My favorite part of my job is learning about our patients. I love the conversations I have with our patients during their visits. Whether we’re talking about the local news, an addition to their family, or their most recent vacation, we’re becoming friends. It’s a great feeling to see happy, healthy smiles on my friends’ faces at the end of their visit.
I started my dental career in 2000. Working with Dr. Markham is wonderful; she has created an environment where each patient is treated as family and you can feel that as soon as you walk through the front door. Dr. Markham keeps up with the latest technology and dental procedures which make my job rewarding and exciting.
I live in Auburn with a fantastic husband and two wonderful children. In my spare time, I enjoy trail running and mountain biking.
Registered Dental Assistant
I assist the doctors chairside and I find it very rewarding when our patients, even when they are fearful and apprehensive, leave with a smile, always telling us the dental appointment went so much easier than they thought it would go.
I know I did my job well when our patients leave happy and with higher self-esteem, as our ultimate goal as a team is patient satisfaction. Part of making our patients feel at ease is using humor and getting our patients to relax and take the edge off.
I have recently started my career in dentistry as an RDA (registered dental assistant) and I am working toward obtaining my dental hygienist certification.
I enjoy playing and watching football and basketball in my free time. I have a puppy named Deebo and I recently just got a pet chameleon named Henry.
The best part of my job is making sure that each one of our patients has the best possible experience in our office. I love learning new dental procedures and using the advanced technology we have available at Maidu Dental. I love working with Dr. Markham; she is incredibly hard working and has wonderful relationships with her patients and the entire team is very well educated and with a lot of dental experience.
My hobbies include scuba diving, running, hiking, reading and learning new things.
I have a BS in cellular and developmental biology at UC Santa Barbara and I recently have been accepted to UOP Dental School. I hope to graduate dental school and come back to work as a dentist at Maidu Dental.
I have been in dentistry all my life, I started my career as a dental assistant in 1974 and I migrated to administrative and management work soon after that. I have been working for Maidu Dental since 2007. While you might not always see my face in the office, I am constantly in the background, on the phone, working with our patients and their dental insurances, helping patients maximizing their dental insurance benefits and helping them choose the right financial option for them. Dr. Markham is not only my respected employer, she has also become my friend. I love working here, I am really proud to be part of a great team and our patients definitely feel that.
I have been married for 34 years to my wonderful husband Jack and we have 2 grown children and 2 grandchildren: Jaden and Nicol. We still reside in Cool, in the same home where we raised our kids. My husband and I love golfing and traveling in our RV every chance we get.
Administrative Office Assistant
I started working for Maidu Dental in the fall of 2015. I had never worked in the dental field before but I learn new and interesting things every day! And you better believe I floss more often! I do all kinds of tasks, from putting furniture together to product ordering or even coffee runs. I’m the office go-to girl for special projects that the other team members just don’t have time for!
I love that it is always different here at the office and that the vibes are always positive! One day I might be putting together gift bags and another I might be ordering uniforms. I love that the staff is always so appreciative of everything I do, even if it’s just taking out the garbage!
For starters, everyone here is an absolute gem! We have a fantastic bunch of personalities here that just work well together. Our main goal is that our patients have a remarkable experience in our office. Everyone always has a great attitude even if the day is crazy! I can honestly say that I love coming to work every day.
My partner Michael and I, with our son Sven, recently bought a house with great property near the river. Michael is a local CPO (which means he makes prosthetic legs for people…and even animals!). We both love paddle boarding, backpacking, and working in the garden. Michael often drags me along to his extreme adventures by promising me culinary deliciousness –my biggest weakness. I love the library, black coffee, and trivia. We have a cute and talkative Burmese cat named Juicy whose favorite food is tortilla chips. Oh, and we just got bees so we are officially beekeepers!
